Yagna/Yajna means a ritual of offering edible items like fruits, rice, herbs to Holy Fire while chanting Vedic Mantras(Verses). It’s a ritual most commonly performed in India. If you get a chance to read any of the two epic novels of India, Mahabharat or Ramayana, you get reference and a description of the most Grandeur Yajna performed by the great Kings of the old, namely Ashvamedha Yajna. Check out this wiki link to know more about Yajna.
