plants are amazing.
Lycium schweinfurthii grows in the sands, on the shore. but sands are allusive - the wind moves them from side to side, and a small hill you grew your roots into a few years ago - may be completely gone now. so plants like the Lycium schweinfurthii grow thick long roots. if part of the plant is covered in sand - the covered branches behave like roots and grow small roots. if roots are uncovered like in this picture - they will later on grow leaves and flowers.
''Lycium schweinfurthii'' is a species of flowering plant in the family Solanaceae. The plant occurs in the south of the Mediterranean in Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus and southern Aegean and Sicily and Pantelleria.
