  1. On my previous job I would regularly walk with colleagues and see these yellow fungi, but I never had a camera with me. I wanted to photograph them on another moment but I never did. Now when I see these nice photo's I have to think about the missed opportunity. Posted 11 years ago

"Tremella mesenterica" is a common jelly fungus in the Tremellaceae family of the Agaricomycotina. It is most frequently found on dead but attached and on recently fallen branches, especially of angiosperms, as a parasite of wood decay fungi in the genus "Peniophora".
