Siamang - Symphalangus syndactylus
Spotted this Siamang while driving, quickly pulled the car over to try to take pics of them, they were a family of 3 - 2 adults + 1 baby/juvenile. They were quite high up in the canopy at least 30-40 meters height, but down at the valley and the road is nearly at 'eye level' with them. Unfortunately, they were hidden among the foliage, waited for an hour for them to come out in the open, this one was when it was moving around in a slightly open area.
The siamang is a tailless, arboreal, black-furred gibbon native to the forests of Malaysia, Thailand, and Sumatra. The largest of the lesser apes, the siamang can be twice the size of other gibbons, reaching 1 m in height, and weighing up to 14 kg. The siamang is the only species in the genus "Symphalangus".
