The colorful male Mwanza flat-headed rock agama, found at a high viewing point near the entrance of Serengeti NP. The viewing point is a so-called "kopje", a rock formation suddenly arising from an otherwise flat and non-rocky landscape.

The Mwanza flat-headed rock agama , a lizard in the family Agamidae, is found in Tanzania, Rwanda, and Kenya. It lives in semideserts and can often be seen in the heat of the day basking on rocks or kopjes.
