  1. 83! And that's where I'll have to leave off our antbird total, until the next time I'm in the lowlands! Posted 3 years ago
    1. That's a big bill!

Unfortunately 83 does not satisfy my fetish for round numbers, so hope the next trip is being planned.

      1. I know, I have the same problem!
As for the next trip, it's always being planned ;)

        1. Where to, if I may ask? Posted 3 years ago
          1. Back to Pasco, in central Peru, where I spent all of 2020. My book on the birds of that region is finally done, and there'll be a little presentation at the end of the month. So of course, I'm planning one week before and another after to do some birding! I'll mostly be retreading familiar ground, but you never know what might pop up!
Then in October I'll be spending a week with a couple birder friends on Peru's northern birding route. It's mostly montane/foothill forest, but I've got a shot at a couple antshrikes and at least one antbird :)
And right after that if all goes well I'll spend 3 weeks in Colombia! No clue yet where I'll be going (partly depends on what my local friends are up to), but some lowlands are definitely on the cards!

            1. I didn't know you were publishing a book! Anything we can preview yet?
Sounds like you have a packed program for the rest of the year!

              1. Packed is right!
Haha don't worry, it'll be all over my social media at the end of the month, and if you like I can send you a PDF :)

                1. Would love that, and would of course pay for it. Posted 3 years ago
                  1. Don't worry, friends get a free copy! Posted 3 years ago
                    1. That is very generous, thank you. Will still pay though, good work deserves compensation. Posted 3 years ago
                      1. You're a good person, Ferdy :) Posted 3 years ago
                        1. Aww, thanks. You only get to see my good side lol. Posted 3 years ago
