Hi Ferdy, looks like I've run into another redirect loop.
From what I can tell, the latest research supports the species status of Brown agouti (Dasyprocta variegata), occurring from southern Peru and Brazil, though Bolivia and into northern Argentina (https://academic.oup.com/jmammal/article-abstract/102/6/1548/6397216).
