
Furcated Tortoise Beetle
Picture was captured under 25mm magnified lens which effectively seems the texture of that insect normally by the pixels, this insect glitter more than the gold metal and which habitat is more often on shrubs and meals by small insects and plant parts.

"Aspidimorpha dorsata" is a species of leaf beetle widely distributed in Oriental region from Sri Lanka to South China towards Java, and Borneo.

I think this is Aspidimorpha furcata, which is commonly reported from India and looks like your photo. Charidotella sexpunctata is not very likely, it occurs predominantly in the Americas.
By the way, I think you mean 2 x magnification, not 20x? 20x magnification is microscopic magnification and would give a total frame of less than a mm wide. Posted 3 years ago
