This is a native perennial and is a true lily, a member of the Lily Family (Liliaceae). It is found in Southwestern coniferous forests, and it blooms from late summer to early fall.<br />

1–2-foot tall lilies with 1–inch wide, yellow flowers. The flower looks like the miniature day lilies common in the nursery and flower trades.
