  1. Decent yield, even if lots of bycatch! Posted 3 years ago
    1. Definitely! I really love the bycatch! This was taken in late June, and since then, results have been less than impressive UNTIL last night. Last night, I had a ton of beetles, mayflies, caddisflies, etc. AND, a decent moth turnout. It was the best mothing night all summer. Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago
      1. Crazy how variable yields can be, so many variables seem to influence it. Posted 3 years ago
        1. It is! Rain, drought, temperature, moon phase, humidity, and who knows what else all impact the turnout. Posted 3 years ago
          1. I would add competing lights and how open your spot is (not obstructed). Posted 3 years ago
            1. Yes, definitely important factors to add! My lights are definitely obstructed by the hills and huge trees that are right in front of us. I have no direction that I can position my lights that won't be obscured. Posted 3 years ago
              1. The downside of being a valley girl. Posted 3 years ago
                1. Lol, true. Posted 3 years ago
