Small native carnivorous marsupial, greyish-brown above and paler below. Long pointed head with bulging eyes and four pairs of small sharp incisor teeth. Ears are large, thin and crinkly with a notch in the margin. Tail is the same length as the body or shorter and is sparsely haired. It weighs up 71 grams.       1. Great info Christine. I did get another shot of this (not clear enough to put up) and it doesn't have yellow feet so believe this is a brown antechinus. I believe that if I were a male one I would either be a bachelor or same sex. Lol Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago

The brown antechinus, also known as Stuart's antechinus and Macleay's marsupial mouse, is a species of small carnivorous marsupial of the family Dasyuridae. The males die after their first breeding season, and the species holds the world record for being the world's smallest semelparous mammal.
