  2. Fantastic! How did you get the background so brilliantly white? Is there backlighting? Posted 3 years ago
    1. I used a homemade lightbox surrounded by six LED lights on four sides of the box. The backdrop was a white card. In post using a free editing program called GIMP, I did dust removal on the insect with the healing tool and then changed the background to pure white (255 means that the red, green, and blue values are each at their maximum intensity, and this is generally the defined white point of the color scale system) using the fill option.
