  1. Wow, I'm quite surprised we have that one already. I saw it with a friend of mine, who's seen almost 1400 bird species in Peru, and this was a lifer for him! Posted 3 years ago

      1. We were very lucky with that female, she was just hanging out in a branch directly overlooking our path. Unfortunately we could hear the male singing but he never showed himself. Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago

The chestnut-breasted chlorophonia is a bird species in the family Fringillidae. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
