  1. This is one of the only reliable spots in Peru to see this tricky bamboo specialist, and after crawling through a lot of spiny thickets, lots of patience, and a bit of luck, we got some really nice views! Posted 3 years ago

The rufous twistwing is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It was described as a new species in 2007. It is associated with bamboo growing in humid forested regions in south-eastern Peru, northern Bolivia and far western Brazil.
