  1. Quite deadly for a little creature Posted 3 years ago
    1. It was so well hidden that I didn't see it until I flipped the flower. Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago
  2. Wow, due to the closeup barely noticed the moth! Posted 3 years ago
    1. Pretty incredible considering this species of moth isn't very big, yet is still huge next to the spider. It's tiny, but it has a lethal bite! Posted 3 years ago
      1. It's one of the reasons I used to never find crab spiders because from pictures I imagined them of significant size, hence you look for that and never find them that way. Posted 3 years ago
        1. Some are so small and they hide/blend in well. Posted 3 years ago

"Misumena vatia" is a species of crab spider with holarctic distribution. In North America, where it is the largest and best-known flower spider, it is called the goldenrod crab spider or flower spider, because it is commonly found hunting in goldenrod sprays in the autumn.
