  1. You have so many great observations! Posted 3 years ago
    1. I’ve been getting lucky- not only have there been a wealth of subjects, many have been in my book- and without a ton of difficult to differentiate lookalike species. Usually this family of wasps is difficult and not well documented… but this one is pretty distinctive. Posted 3 years ago
      1. That's fanstastic! Has it been hot/dry there? We are having a drought and I am not seeing as many insects as usual. Posted 3 years ago
        1. We’ve had the opposite. Our spring was wet and cooler than normal. We’ve only just in the past week or two started having temperatures out of the 70s. It was still snowing up in the passes in May.. everything is behind. I just started picking snow peas in my garden.. usually they’d be done by now and I’d be picking cherry tomatoes- which are tiny and green still. Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago
          1. Oh wow. It's been high 80s-90s here most days. And, the thunderstorms keep missing us. Our garden is crispy at this point because of the watering ban. Crazy weather, everywhere. Posted 3 years ago
