  3. Are you sure is a pika? it looks a bit different in images online:
    your picture looks to me more like a hamster species:
    or another sort of field mouse
    Did it have a tail?

    1. you can see the tail - it's out of focus, but visible just to the left of the animal. It is a furry, rather than naked tail. (and I agree, this doesn't look like a pika) Posted 6 months ago, modified 6 months ago

The Himalayan pika is a species of small mammal in the pika family. It is found at high altitudes in remote areas of Ladakh, Uttarakhand and possibly also in Nepal &Tibet. The IUCN has listed this species as being of "least concern".
