White Big Milkwort

The Big Milkwort is a herbaceous perennial plant. The stem is 20-35 cm high. Flowering June-July. This beautiful milkwort is much taller than the common milkwort, Polygala vulgaris, which is a plant of chalk and limestone habitats. Polygala major is found throughout the Balkans and central Europe, including Bulgaria and Romania. It is also found in Greece and other Mediterranean countries.
