Ngorongoro crater edge

This photo gives an impression of the Ngorongoro crater edge. Note the small string of dots right after the river to the right. That's a group of Wildebeests. The crater edge is about 600m above the crater floor, from where this photo is taken. Impressive as the crater edge is, in its volcano days it was 5km high.
