    1. Actually, that was going to be the highlight of the morning, the one species we were specifically looking for, as I'd missed out on it during my 2 weeks in Tambopata. In the end, it was barely more than an afterthought on our way back to city!
      Still, I was very pleased as it is in truth quite a rare species, and we saw three of them up close.

The white-throated jacamar is a species of bird in the family Galbulidae. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil and Peru.
