    1. For sure, some of my favorite tropical birds!
      I'd spent a long time trying to get a look at a pair of this species last year, and never got so much as a glimpse, even though they were singing in the cnaopy right above me, whereas on this trip I saw them three times in 2 weeks. This spotting, which was from a canopy tower, was by far the best one!

      I've had quite goog luck with the neotropical species, but I look forward to looking for the amazing Asian species at some point in the future!

The Amazonian trogon, is a near passerine bird in the family Trogonidae, the trogons and quetzals. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela.
