Sceliphron caementarium, mud dauber Note: Yearsrs ago, one flew in the house. I thought it was a wasp at the time. I tried to shoo it away with a rag which angered it. Next thing I knew it, it ended up in my shorts and bit my lower stomach. No allergic reaction. Just a bump. I read they rarely bite. They're solitary. I found evidence of them when we move in years prior of the incident. They made mud nest in the blinds which is almost like cement. Hard to remove.
