    1. I'm kind of sad I missed the lowest ones... I had to work Wed and Thurs when there were -4's but the -2's today and yesterday were still good. Someday I'd love to get up in your neck of the woods and go to Botanical Beach. Posted 3 years ago
      1. I have not been there at a very low tide but the tide pools are plentiful full of all sorts of interesting things. Our island doesn’t have a great many easily accessible tide pools… unfortunately. Posted 3 years ago

"Urticina crassicornis" is a large and common intertidal and subtidal sea anemone. Its habitat includes a large portion of the coastal areas of the northern hemisphere, mainly polar regions, and it lives a solitary life for up to 80 years. Mottled anemones are similar to Dahlia anemones and both are commonly referred to as northern red anemones.
