Back Off! This Rat Snakes are non-venomous and harmless to humans although they can still inflict painful bites.<br />
This one was on &#039;aggressive mode&#039; when I approached nearer for close-up shots.  It actually  came towards me a few times with raised head as in the picture as though to attack me, but this is actually &#039;false aggression&#039; to ward off predators. This Rat Snakes are non-venomous and harmless to humans although they can still inflict painful bites.
This one was on 'aggressive mode' when I approached nearer for close-up shots. It actually came towards me a few times with raised head as in the picture as though to attack me, but this is actually 'false aggression' to ward off predators. Left it alone after a few attempts and it slithered off into the bushes.
