Starling - Sturnus vulgaris
I was drinking the best maple-oat iced coffee ever while enjoying the shade under this Navy airplane when a starling appeared. It perched above me with a bug in its mouth and then flew up under the plane and through a small crack. I immediately heard the babies chirping and was amazed that this bird was nesting inside this old plane. Afterwards, I saw several other starlings nesting in the cracks and in the propellers.

The common starling or European starling (Sturnus vulgaris), also known simply as the starling in the British Isles, is a medium-sized passerine bird in the starling family, Sturnidae. It is about 20 cm (8 in) long and has glossy black plumage with a metallic sheen, which is speckled with white at some times of year.
