  1. Nice to see you posting again, Deb! Try comparing these flowers to Berberis sp. Posted 3 years ago
    1. Thank you, Christine. I will. Posted 3 years ago
  2. The app PlantNet gives higher identity scoring for Mahonia aquifolium :-) Posted 2 years ago
    1. Thanks Marta. Berberis aquifolium/Mahonia aquifolium appear to refer to the same plant. I'm not sure which genus is current, though. I've IDed it as Mahonia aquifolium because that's what the Wikipedia name is, but we can always change the genus if needed.

Mahonia aquifolium seems to be the currently accepted name here:
      https://www.gbif.org/species/3033865

But, EOL seems to suggest Berberis aquifolium is more widely accepted:
      https://eol.org/pages/469325/names

iNat, which we generally trust for taxonomic correctness favors Berberis aquifolium:

            1. Thanks Ferdy :) Posted 2 years ago
  3. Just to add: The Catalogue of Life shows Mahonia aquifolium as an accepted name.
    https://www.catalogueoflife.org/data/taxon/3XJ3H
Concerning Wikipedia I do not rely on it too much.
BTW, I just checked - Wikipedia also has Mahonia aquifolia as accepted name and Berberis as synonym:
