When seeing many Wildebeests, as one usually does, they come across as common grazers. Only when viewing them up close you may notice that they actually look kind of freaky. This one in front comes across to me as an evil villain.

  1. Evil indeed, looks a bit like the dungeon keeper to me (dungeon keeper from the computer game).
    The distance between mouth and eyes is even more extreme then at cows or horses.

  2. According to African legend, the wildebeest is made up of spare parts left over from the creation of the other animals. The parts in question though vary according to who is telling the tale! Posted 11 years ago

The blue wildebeest is a large antelope and one of the two species of wildebeest. It is placed in the genus "Connochaetes" and family Bovidae and has a close taxonomic relationship with the black wildebeest. The blue wildebeest is known to have five subspecies. This broad-shouldered antelope has a muscular, front-heavy appearance, with a distinctive robust muzzle.
