The Great Migration in Great Detail - 4
B&W closeup of the ear of a Wildebeest as found on the Ngorongoro crater floor. I could now say that this body part is their major defense strategy. In the case of Wildebeests though, I doubt that this is tree. Wildebeests tend to follow those directly near them in deciding what to do when a threat occurs.

The blue wildebeest is a large antelope and one of the two species of wildebeest. It is placed in the genus "Connochaetes" and family Bovidae and has a close taxonomic relationship with the black wildebeest. The blue wildebeest is known to have five subspecies. This broad-shouldered antelope has a muscular, front-heavy appearance, with a distinctive robust muzzle.
