Wall Lizard I didn&#039;t expect to come across lizards in Austria where it isn&#039;t that warm in the summer. <br />
You can see the lizard is making it&#039;s belly wider to catch some extra sun rays.<br />

I didn't expect to come across lizards in Austria where it isn't that warm in the summer.
You can see the lizard is making it's belly wider to catch some extra sun rays.

Dutch name: Muurhagedis (Podarcis Muralis)

The common wall lizard is a species of lizard with a large distribution in Europe and well-established introduced populations in North America, where it is also called the European wall lizard. It can grow to about 20 cm in total length.
