    1. Thanks, William. Have to confess that the red glow on her breast is from the red plastic feeder. I was able to stand in the shadow while she was more interested in eating and watching for intruders than me taking photos. Posted 3 years ago

The Rufous Hummingbird is a small hummingbird, about 8 cm long with a long, straight and very slender bill. The female is slightly larger than the male.
