    1. They are very noisy - but not widespread. Their cousins, redwing blackbirds, are far more plentiful and much more melodic. Posted 3 years ago

The Yellow-headed Blackbird is a medium-sized blackbird, and the only member of the genus "Xanthocephalus". This bird's song resembles the grating of a rusty hinge.
