  1. Quite a tricky tinamou (aren't they all haha) of high elevation shrublands. My friend's reserve is probably the best place in Peru to see it, as the birds here are reasonably relaxed and quite regularly seen foraging along the track. We spotted this one as we were driving to the high part of the reserve, and were able to snap a bunch of shots as it walked ahead of us, following the road for a good hundred meters!
