Metallic Praying Mantis - Metallyticus fallax This is the 3rd species of Metallic Praying Mantis I found at the same &#039;small area of 20-30 trees&#039;, which I have originally thought was just Metallyticus splendidus.<br />

All 3 species shares the same habitat, probably  the same trees too.  Unfortunately, the trees they were found on were mostly &#039;dead trees&#039; and during a recent thunderstorm, many of the &#039;dead trees&#039; have fallen and after that, it was much more difficult to find this guys, still possible, but in much less numbers. Metallic Praying Mantis - Metallyticus fallax

This is the 3rd species of Metallic Praying Mantis I found at the same 'small area of 20-30 trees', which I have originally thought was just Metallyticus splendidus.

All 3 species shares the same habitat, probably the same trees too. Unfortunately, the trees they were found on were mostly 'dead trees' and during a recent thunderstorm, many of the 'dead trees' have fallen and after that, it was much more difficult to find this guys, still possible, but in much less numbers.

''Metallyticus fallax'' is a species of praying mantis found in Southeast Asia. It has an iridescent appearance. It is very similar to ''Metallyticus splendidus''.
