A Male Rufous Hummingbird. It was a good thing that the reflection of the iridescence was not directed at the camera! It would have been too bright for the camera. Instead the colour can be seen on the underside of his beak. The photo was taken as the sun was setting giving the warm colours. <br />

The Rufous Hummingbird is a small hummingbird, about 8 cm long with a long, straight and very slender bill. The female is slightly larger than the male.
