Time to Fly!
It's this time of year at my garden pond.... I counted four dragonflies in the process of emerging and more than 10 husks around the pond. So nice.
There are more than 15 edible frogs (we call then green frogs), several newts, many different types of water beetles and other small insects. They all arrived on their own - I only put some plants into the pond like lilies, reeds and marsh butter cups. The rest it's nature's work!

"Libellula depressa", the broad-bodied chaser or broad-bodied darter, is one of the most common dragonflies in Europe and central Asia. It is very distinctive with a very broad flattened abdomen, four wing patches and, in the male, the abdomen becomes pruinose blue.
