Two young male Lions, possibly brothers, resting on the Ngorongoro crater floor. You'd think a confined habitat like the crater floor is a feast for the animal on top of the food chain, but the flat landscape makes a challenging hunt. Not only that, there's always Hyenas around to steal their kills.

The lion is one of the five big cats in the genus "Panthera" and a member of the family Felidae. The commonly used term African lion collectively denotes the several subspecies found in Africa. With some males exceeding 250 kg in weight, it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger.
