A Collage of Savannah Sparrows! This small flock of sparrows, three or four, led me on quite a chase. Every time I would get close enough to take a photo they would fly another six or so metres up the beach! Supposedly in our area we do have a subspecies, Passercullis sandwichensis brooksi. Their common name is Dwarf Savannah Sparrow. Really don’t know if these are those! Canada,Geotagged,Passerculus sandwichensis,Savannah sparrow Click/tap to enlarge

The Savannah sparrow is a small American sparrow. It is the only widely accepted member of the genus ''Passerculus''. The common name comes from Savannah, Georgia, where one of the first specimens of this bird was collected.
