  1. A paint pallet of color. Looks just like eye candy. After a brief review of the literature I confirmed my suspicions that these are often used as pets. Smart, not endangered, talkative and long lived, I can see why people would like to have them. Posted 3 years ago
    1. Hi William- They are very common and not shy. It is easy to get close to them and the King Parrots are very tame as well. We've had wild parrots eat from our hand! Posted 3 years ago

The rainbow lorikeet is a species of parrot found in Australia. It is common along the eastern seaboard, from northern Queensland to South Australia. Its habitat is rainforest, coastal bush and woodland areas. Several taxa traditionally listed as subspecies of the rainbow lorikeet are now treated as separate species.
