  1. Gorgeous poppies! I recommend re-checking your species ID though, as I am not sure that these are P. rhoeas. It does seem like the most likely species in your area, but doesn't seem to match other online photos. Posted 3 years ago

    2. I'm thinking it might be the Ice Poppy (Papaver croceum). Distribution data is not convincing but that seems to be a generic problem in South Korea. Posted 3 years ago
      1. Agree. The distribution hung me up at first, but it seems like Papaver nudicaule is the closest match. But, I am definitely not a plant person and all the variations are confusing. Posted 3 years ago

"Papaver nudicaule", the Iceland poppy, is a boreal flowering plant. Equivalence with "Papaver croceum" has been contested. Native to subpolar regions of Asia and North America, and the mountains of Central Asia as well as temperate China.
