  1. Sorry, it looks the identification feature identified the genus, not a singular species. "Stone curlew" is a group of species, not a single one. Do you happen to know the exact species? In Australia, it looks like it's either the "Bush stone-curlew" or the "Beach stone-curlew". Posted 3 years ago

The bush stone-curlew or bush thick-knee is a large, ground-dwelling bird endemic to Australia. Its favoured habitat is open plains and woodlands, where it stalks slowly at night in search of invertebrates such as insects.
