
Zipper Spider - Argiope aurantia
Adult zipper spiders make a stabilimentum in their webs, which looks like a vertical zigzag in middle of the web. Juveniles make a circular stabilimentum in the center of the web. This spider looks like an adult, but on the stabilimentum of a juvenile.

The spider species "Argiope aurantia" is is common to the contiguous United States, Hawaii, southern Canada, Mexico, and Central America. They have distinctive yellow and black markings on their abdomens and a mostly white cephalothorax.
