
The Pied Paddy Skimmer is a species of dragonfly found in south and south-east Asia. It appears in Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia , Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Viet Nam. The species is fairly common, with a black body and black and white wings with transparent tips.

Although having a similar pattern of the wings, the Widow Skimmer (Libellula luctuosa) is an American species with a steely blue body.
