    1. Yes, this one was in the wild. It was in plants located next to a lily pond in the nature reserve of Doode Bemde here in Belgium. It was a very lucky sight! Posted 3 years ago

Marpissa is a genus of the family Salticidae or Jumping Spiders. Marpissa is found throughout Europe in damp places, especially on cattail in still water. Males have a body length of 6-7mm and females 6.1 - 9.3mm.
