Crotalus scutulatus
I wish I will the opportunity to find an other specimen like this and get from it a better shot ! Back in July 2015, I had a really short road trip in Nevada and Arizona, one of my goal was to watch a rattlesnake in the wild ! I found one Crotalus pyrrhus under a rock and this young Crotalus scutulatus just after the sunset in the Mojave Desert, what a great memory !

''Crotalus scutulatus'' is a highly venomous pit viper species found in the deserts of the southwestern United States and central Mexico. It is perhaps best known for its potent neurotoxic-hemotoxic venom, which is considered the world's most potent rattlesnake venom. Two subspecies are recognized, including the nominate subspecies described here.
