  1. I checked and it looks like they are not synonyms, so the species intro is all yours :)

    It looks like the other one, Papaver bracteatum, should not have common name "Oriental poppy", instead it is "Bracteate Oriental Poppy". Or, Iranian poppy, Persian poppy, or Great scarlet poppy.

    Poppies are a mess.
