One hell of a name Posted one year ago
The pied-crested tit-tyrant (Anairetes reguloides) is native to Peru and Chile where it inhabits shrubland. It got the name 'tit-tyrant' because its foraging behavior and crests are reminiscent of the true tits in the family Paridae. {Spotted in Peru by Thibaud Aronson} #JungleDragon #piedcrestedtittyrant #anairetesreguloides
