steelblue ladybird/Halmus chalybeus I saw this gorgeous teal blue beetle walking down my porch banister; in Pennsylvania, USA. I Googled using multiple different search terms and i discovered, to the best of my amateur sleuthing abilities, that they're only found in Australia/,NZ. so have they become an invasive species not yet recorded? did they migrate? or is this a completely different yet lookalike, beetle? 1. Hi Tara, welcome to JungleDragon! It's hard to tell from the photo, but this might be Plagiodera versicolora, which is found in PA. There have been some reports of Halmus chalybeus in the US, but none yet reported in PA from what I could find.

Can you please add the geotag/set country? Thanks!
