    This mother and baby make such a sweet scene! Red Leaf Monkeys (Presbytis rubicunda) live in Borneo and are forest-dwelling herbivores.

    They are called 'leaf' monkeys because leaves make up the bulk of their diets. But, digesting large amounts of fibrous food isn't easy. To deal with this issue, the monkeys have a big, chambered stomach (like that of a cow), which allows them to break down such substantial quantities of plant material. {Photo credit: Mehd Halaouate} #JungleDragon #presbytisrubicunda

The maroon langur, maroon leaf monkey, or red leaf monkey is a species of primate in the Cercopithecidae family. It is found on the southeast Asian island of Borneo and the nearby smaller Karimata.
