Eneoptera surinamensis on a rainforest leaf at night
This may look like a typical cricket, but according to https://www.researchgate.net/publication/240767428_Seasonal_life_cycle_of_the_tropical_cricket_Eneoptera_surinamensis_Orthoptera_Gryllidae_Eneopterinae, "It was verified that the studied species is univoltine and cyclic with regards to the dry and wet seasons, therefore being heterodynamic and surviving the dry season as adult." Does that sound like an ordinary cricket to you?
