
Siamese twin Microporus xanthopus
Two uniquely merge twin holding fresh rain water.

Description
The cap of this fungus is broadly funnel-shaped, subcircular, leathery, glossy and smooth with concentric zones of cream, dark brick, dark brown to blackish, margin paler, thin and wavy. The pores is cream, pores tiny and only visible with a hand lens while the stipe is cylindrical, smooth, yellow and central to slightly eccentric. This fungus is a very common wood inhabiting fungus in Malaysia lowland rainforests and can be found throughout the year at FRIM.

Ferdy, unfortunately I didn't take a look at the stem. However, I took another picture of another single mushroom just adjacent to this and it is very very similar to the photo in the species column Posted 3 years ago
